What’s the definition of high quality? Give the customer what they want, when they want it, at a price they think is right. Performance after a cleanup is always better. It has a clean, easy to use interface, and deletes the files it says it’s going to. I’ve been using Disc (UK!) Doctor for several months - I run it once every couple of weeks on my 2010 MBP. If it’s not telling the truth about these, what else is it not telling me? I closed and restarted Disk Doctor - no change. However, the four files, total just under 60MB are still there. It told me that it had deleted the trash, and now tells me that there are no files in the trash. Actually there were four files, total just under 60MB. It told me that I had 240MB of files in the trash. However, Disk Doctor now doesn’t seem to be so hot. Finally, although I have had no problems so far, I remain a little worried that one day Disk Doctor will delete something critical. Also, like any utility, it is not exactly an exciting experience. I have given it “only” four stars because I use it infrequently, so I may not have evaluated it fully. I have not experienced any problems after disc cleaning, and performance improves each time I run the app.

I see from a review that the new Disk Doctor Pro has the same problem. It will no longer let me accept user files to analyse, so is unusable. With the release of Disc Doctor Pro I thought I would use my original version again to decide whether to upgarde to Pro. This used to work well, but I found an alternative that I preferred so stopped using it.
